Uncle Pat emailed me this week saying that he heard I was having one of those milestone birthdays that end in zero, and indeed I was. The blow was cushioned by the fact that most of my friends have preceeded me in reaching this milestone so at least I'll always be younger than them!
It was a great extended birthday weekend, filled with lots of baked goodies (thanks everyone!), friends and wigs. Yes, wigs...but we'll get to that in a little bit. Unkie Jon did double-Julia duty this weekend, watching her Thursday while we enjoyed a dinner out as well as Friday when Paul took me to go see Wicked! Thanks Unkie Jon!
Saturday we had some quality family time and an injury-free outing to the Farmer's Market (hooray! all baby fingers intact!). Now Julia has two weeks worth of fresh, organic meals.
Peach/Pear Combo & Yam/Zucchini/Chicken Combo
Speaking of Julia, the girl is just growing and learning so much with each passing day. At her 7 month checkup she measured over 28 inches long and weighs over 16 lbs! Her two teeth are really showing now and she actually likes her nightly tooth brushing. Her scooting/crawling is getting faster and faster, and she has learned to show us that Julia is "soooo big". Yesterday the day started with Julia helping Daddy bake my favorite carrot cake cupcakes.

Thank you to everyone for all of the warm birthday wishes, and thank you to Paul, the best hubby ever, for making the transition to my 30s a great one!
