Sunny Sunday

It was a beautiful day here today, so we packed up and headed out to enjoy the sun. First stop, a nice little stroll at Moss Beach. Julia felt the sand on her feet for the first time, and after a few minutes warmed up to the idea. A little further down the beach there was a huge mass of sea lions sunning themselves. We took one of the trails along the cliffs above the beach to get a better view. Even from up above, boy did they smell bad!

Heading back to San Francisco, we stopped at a carnival going on in Pacifica. Everyone knows how much Paul loves any kind of game, so of course he tried his hand at a few of them to win Julia a prize. Luckily, we did not come home with any goldfish, but daddy did win Jules a little gorilla.

The carnival food wasn't quite what we were hoping for (where was all the fried goodess?!!) so we finally tried Gorilla BBQ. The last two times we wanted to try it the line was much longer than we were willing to wait (I guess I wasn't the only one who saw this place on the Food Network). Today the line looked fairly short so we stopped in for some pulled pork sandwiches. Lucky for us, that was the only meat they had left for the day. The verdict? Not worth more than a 15 minute wait.

Ok, now the real stuff you come here for...the pictures:

Good job Paul. I'm sure Julia loved her pink gorilla. Looks like you had a super day.
