Its hard to believe that Julia will already be 3 weeks old tomorrow...where did the time go?! This week brought an end to the first round of visitors (thanks again for everything!!) and our first chance to settle into "normalcy". I think we're doing pretty well so far, and we're even managing to get some more sleep. For the last two nights Julia has slept in stretches of about 4 hours or more which is really great! Let's hope she keeps up the good sleeping...
We had some other fun things going on this week too:
- Julia's first professional photo shoot with Sheila - We can't wait to see how these turned out! Jules did pretty well during these few hours of pictures and even managed to have some fun by peeing all over mommy during the naked baby pictures. Thanks for keeping it interesting, little one!
- 2 week checkup with Dr. Joe - Julia did great and proved her outstanding eating skills have paid off once it came time for her weigh-in. While most babies are just regaining their initial weight loss by the 2 week visit, Julia has gained a whopping 1 pound over her birth weight! That got Mom a pat on the back from Dr. Joe as well...way to go girls!
- Bath Time - Having lost her umbilical chord stub earlier in the week, we got the ok from Dr. Joe to give Julia her first "real" bathtub bath. She liked this MUCH better than her sponge baths and Daddy videotaped the whole thing. Talk about an embarrassing video to show her first date someday! Not content to have only peed on Mommy this week, Jules stepped it up a notch and taught us the importance of getting that fresh diaper on right after the bath...by pooping right into Mommy's hand!
- Family Walks - Making sure to enjoy this great weather we've been having, we took some more family walks around the neighborhood. Saturday was so nice that after the walk we decided to have a beer and play some cards on our porch to enjoy the weather. Daddy won this round of "Frustration", but Mommy will beat him eventually.
- More Friends - Today Julia will finally meet Auntie Natalie and Uncle Michael when they come over for some football watching!

I love your face when she's pooping on you! Ha ha ha! She's just adorable! Hope you're doing well! Sounds like it! Ah, new mommy-hood. Gotta love every second of it!
